Halloween is almost upon us. This is such a delightfully ghoulish time. For the most part costumes of all types will be walking the streets and enjoying the scariest and best Halloween Parties. Kids will be counting their candy and adults will enjoy the sights and sounds of the witching season.
Not everyone enjoys parties. Not everyone has kids. In fact, not everyone wants to mess with a time honored and classic tradition. The tradition of watching horror movies or scary movies on the day that is renowned for horror.
Some people enjoy watching horror movies alone, while others would rather view them with a group of trusted friends. Some want to view these scary movies in the dark and others require as much light as possible. Regardless, horror movies and Halloween are here to stay.
Horror movies are as much apart of Halloween as Halloween is apart of horror. Many people parade around in costumes dedicated to their favorite horror villain or hero. This year, no matter how you choose to watch your Halloween Horror Movies, consider the following.
Not Everyone Enjoys Blood and Gore in their Horror Movies
One of the most over hyped parts of horror films is the blood and gore involved. Slasher horror is watched far more often than psychological thrillers. Realize that there are people out there that love to be scared, but that don't want to deal with seeing a person's internal organs.

Even so, Best Horror Movies has recently released their 2009 version of the top 100 horror films of all time. This is the fourth year they have had judges vote. The results seem to indicate that the Exorcist is still the best horror movie of all time. Other movies in the top 10 best horror movies list included:

Just like adults, many kids like to be scared too. They enjoy watching Halloween movies tailored to them and their age range. While older teens may enjoy selection from the Best Horror Movies List or the Beginners List, younger kids from 10 to 13 need something a little less traumatizing. - Wear comfortable clothing. Wearing pajamas as scary movies are watched gives the feeling of an old fashioned sleepover or slumber party.
- Blankets are a must. Not only will they help to keep warm, but they are also a great defense against the scariest parts of horror movies. Many have hid their eyes beneath a blanket during the most intense parts of a horror movie.
- Leave time after the scary movies to relax. These horror movies can get the imagination stirring and cause adrenalin to pump through the body. Taking the time to let go of the movies and or watching a comedy can help end the night on a happy and positive note with little to no nightmares.
